Terms of Service

Plain-English terms for booking a puja through Pandith Jee. By submitting a booking you agree to them.

Last updated: 29 September 2026

1. Who we are

Pandith Jee is operated by its founders as an unregistered proprietorship in Hyderabad, Telangana, India, pending registration. “Pandith Jee”, “we” and “us” in these terms refer to that operation and the website at https://pandithjee.com.

We are starting in Hyderabad and serve customers in India, and families abroad through E-Puja by video call.

2. What Pandith Jee does

We help you book a pandit, arrange samagri, and settle on a muhurat for a puja performed at your home, at a partner temple on your behalf, or live by video (E-Puja). We coordinate the booking; the ritual itself is performed by an independent pandit.

3. How a booking works

  • You submit a booking on the website. Nothing is charged online at that point.
  • Our team confirms the muhurat and the pandit with you on WhatsApp.
  • After confirmation, payment is collected through a secure payment link or UPI.
  • Muhurat windows shown on the website are computed from the panchang for the city you are booking in — its own sunrise and sunset on that date. They are a guide to the auspicious periods of the day, not a ruling on your ceremony: the pandit confirms the exact time for your booking, and may choose differently for your puja, your gotra or your tradition.

A booking is confirmed only once we have confirmed it with you on WhatsApp.

4. Pricing and payment

  • The pandit keeps 100% of the dakshina. We do not take a share of it.
  • Pandith Jee charges a separate booking and coordination fee, and earns a margin on samagri we arrange. Both are shown to you at checkout or on confirmation, before you pay.
  • Payment is by secure payment link or UPI after confirmation. Card and UPI details are handled by the payment provider; we never see or store them.
  • Prices are shown and settled in Indian rupees.

5. Cancellations, reschedules and refunds

These are set out in our Cancellation & Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms.

6. What we ask of you

  • Give accurate details: names, gotra, address, phone number and the intention for the puja.
  • For a home puja, provide access to the venue and a clean space for the ritual.
  • For an E-Puja, have a stable internet connection and a device with a camera at the agreed time.
  • Treat the pandit with courtesy. We reserve the right to decline future bookings where that is not met.

7. Pandits are independent professionals

Pandits on Pandith Jee are independent professionals, not our employees. We coordinate bookings, pass the full dakshina to the pandit, and hand-pick who we work with. The pandit is responsible for performing the ritual according to the agreed vidhi.

8. Our promises and their limits

  • We will confirm your booking, coordinate the pandit and samagri, and be reachable on WhatsApp.
  • If the pandit cannot attend, you choose a full refund or a free reschedule, as set out in the refund policy.
  • If the vidhi was not performed correctly, tell us within 48 hours of the ceremony and we will arrange the puja again at our cost.
  • A puja is a religious service. That promise is about how it is performed, not about what follows from it: we cannot promise any particular outcome, and we are not liable for delays caused by weather, traffic, network failures or events outside our control.
  • Our total liability for any booking is limited to the amount you paid us for that booking.

9. Sign-in and your browser

You sign in with Google to send a booking request, so your pujas are kept against your account and are there on whichever phone or computer you use. Your sign-in is held in a secure cookie your browser does not let scripts read. A copy of your bookings also stays in this browser. Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and where it is stored.

10. Website content

The text, artwork and design of pandithjee.com belong to Pandith Jee. You may share links to it freely; please do not copy or republish the content without asking.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service grows. The date at the top tells you when they last changed. A booking is governed by the terms in force when it was confirmed.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute will be handled by the courts of Hyderabad, Telangana. We would much rather resolve it with you on WhatsApp first.
