About this puja
This vratam is traditionally performed by married women of the house on a designated Friday in Shravana month, where a decorated kalasha represents the goddess. The pandit guides the sankalpam and puja vidhi, including the sacred thread (raksha/dorakam) tying ritual and naivedyam offering.
