About this puja
Nischitartham is the Telugu engagement ceremony where both families formally confirm the marriage. The pandit opens with a Ganapati puja and sankalpam, then guides the exchange of tamboolam (betel leaves and fruit) and the reading of the Lagna Patrika naming the wedding date.
