About this puja
Mahanyasa Purvaka Rudrabhishekam is the fuller form of Rudrabhishekam, in which the Mahanyasam (an elaborate purificatory recitation) is completed before the abhishekam itself. The pandit then performs the abhishekam to the Shivalinga with Namakam and Chamakam, taking longer and using more materials than a standard Rudrabhishekam.
